David Shippy – CAPS

David founded Shippy Multifamily Group in 2010 and is the CEO and President. Shippy Multifamily Group consists of Shippy Capital and Shippy Property Management. Shippy Capital has a proven track record with over 20 syndicated apartment deals consisting of over 3300 units valued at over $300 Million. Shippy Capital provides safe investments that generate stable cash yields and steady equity growth. Shippy Property Management is comprised of a team of over 50 employees that is comprised of experienced and dedicated professionals for our multifamily apartments. David has over 38 years and a proven track record in managing multi-million-dollar projects in the apartment industry and in the computer engineering industry. He is CAPS certified and has leadership training in: Project Management, Risk Management, Negotiation Skills, and Management Skills. He received his BS Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and a MS Computer Engineering from Syracuse. David is a sought-after speaker, author, and seminar leader. He has done many interviews on television and radio as well as speaking engagements regarding multifamily investments.
Leslie Shippy – CAM
- Vice President
Leslie co-founded Shippy Multifamily Group in 2010 and is the Vice-President. Shippy Multifamily Group consists of Shippy Capital and Shippy Property Management. Shippy Capital has a proven track record with over 20 syndicated apartment deals consisting of over 3300 units valued at over $300 Million. Shippy Capital provides safe investments that generate stable cash yields and steady equity growth. Shippy Property Management is comprised of a team of over 50 employees that is comprised of experienced and dedicated professionals for our multifamily apartments. Leslie has over 25 years and a proven track record running successful businesses. She is CAM certified and has extensive business and human relations skills. She received her BA Sociology UT Permian Basin and MS Social Work UT Arlington.
- Accounting Manager
Shayna joined Shippy Property Management in 2016. With over 6 years of experience in the accounting industry, Shayna is knowledgeable with proven attention to detail. Prior to joining Shippy Property Management, she ran a privately-owned bookkeeping practice. She ensures our financial reports, along with tenant ledgers, are current and accurate and handles accounts payable for all properties. Shayna earned her Accounting Degree in Minnesota where she graduated with honors before moving to Austin. Now holding a certificate in public bookkeeping, she uses her knowledge to maintain clean reports that are neatly organized for effortless review.
Rachel Sypho – CAM, CAPS
- Regional Manager
Rachel Sypho joined Shippy Properties in May 2017 as the Regional Property Manager where she oversees assets in Austin, Round Rock, San Antonio and Corpus Christi. By climbing the corporate ladder, Rachel has achieved an in-depth understanding of the industry, thus enabling her to understand assets from an operations standpoint as well as providing the ability to increase value from numerous angles. Her property management career began after taking an administrative assistant position for a small Austin based property management company in 1998. She was promptly promoted to Property Manager. Her ever-growing career continued to excel as she gained a magnitude of experience within the industry. Her experience includes conventional, student, senior, transitional, military housing and additionally has overseen several million-dollar renovations throughout her career. She currently holds her CAM and CAPS designation along with the certification for housing quality standards inspector from Nan Mckay.
Bianca Del Toro
- Office Manager / Accounting Department
Bianca joined Shippy Properties in April 2018 as an Office Manager and Accounting professional. She brings a unique combination of skills with a history in Asset Management and owning her own real estate investments. Bianca brings these skills and interests to Shippy Properties and to each and every property she touches. Bianca currently has an Associate Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. During her time at the University of Texas Bianca incorporated two businesses - one for purchasing real estate and one for financing her purchases. She has purchased and sold at least 9 homes in 2017, and currently is working on getting 3 more leased, seller financed, or rent-to-owned. During her last year of undergrad, she became a certified advanced tax preparer and volunteered over 60+ hours with a local organization Foundation Communities.
